Facing the Giants

A very touching and inspiring movie. Here are the unforgettable lines thrown in the movie:

Grant Taylor: I want God to bless this team so much people will talk
about what He did. But it means we gotta give Him our best in every
area. And if we win, we praise Him. And if we lose, we praise Him.
Either way we honor Him with our actions and our attitudes. So Im
askin you... What are you living for? I resolve to give God
everything Ive got, then Ill leave the results up to Him. I want
to know if youll join me.

Grant Taylor: With God, nothing is impossible.

Grant Taylor: You cant judge your father by his actions and yourself
by your intentions. It just doesnt work that way.

Larry Childers: Did you do your best, son?
David Childers: I knew I was gonna miss it before it kicked it.
Larry Childers: Your actions will always follow your beliefs, David.
David Childers: Dad, I can't even kick it straight.
Larry Childers: And I can't walk. Should I just stay home and pout about it? If you accept defeat, David, then that's what

Grant Taylor: We weren't supposed to have a winning season, but we do. We weren't supposed to advance to the playoffs, but we did. We're not supposed to be here, but we are.

Grant Taylor: God can do whatever He wants to do, however He wants to do it. And He chooses to work in our lives because He loves us. He's good. Hope today's a milestone for what He can do for the rest of your life if you trust Him.

Transformers 2 (The Revenge of the Fallen)

5:00 pm at Trinoma, Hone and I watched the hottest movie of the year. We've been looking forward for this... and there... it all happened today.

The movie was amazing and it still made me feel that cars would transform after watching the film, just like the first time.

1 Missed Call Part 1 and Part II

Carla lend us Raph's DVDs. This is why I was able to watch the film, 'coz I really won't spend money buying horror films which will only terrify me and make me scream.

My dad and I watched these videos on two consecutive Fridays on our Home Theatre.

I find the 1st Part freaky. There were certain scenes that I screamed and held my dad's legs, and he was faking his fear. Watch the trailer:

While, I find the 2nd Part freakier. There were lots of scenes when I screamed at the top of my lungs and held my dad who was also screaming of fear this time. Here, take a glimpse:

Though, both movie parts had terrible endings. Honestly, I didn't get both the endings, both vague and unrealistic.

Oh well, what I enjoyed was the company of my dad. Love Fridays!:p

1 Litre of Tears

I watched the movie in http://www.youtube.com/. It's a true to life story that had 11 Episodes. It's about a 15-year old girl named Aya who acquired a non-curable disease called Spinocebellar Athrophy. It is a rare disease that affects the persons ability to control their own self. The degeneration of the disease results to the inability of a person to walk, to move, to do things, to speak and other more. It makes a person regress and be totally bedridden. The girl, Aya fought to live life, though she questioned why she had to be the one stricken by the disease. She was able to find her purpose in living and was able to inspire and give light to those who also had the same condition as her as well as to her family and friends.

I didn't just cried a litre of tears, perhaps a bucket full of tears. It's a very touching film and it made me feel grateful that God continues to bestow us (me and my love ones) with the good health that we always pray for.

May this story continue to serve in inspiring others to live life inspite and despite the painful things that come along our way.

Sky of Love

My First Day of off in Year 2009. I wondered what I will do today.

'Till I remembered that there's this movie that Raph gave me months and months ago but I delayed watching it. Not because I didn't want to. Again, because I don't have time. Well, he had actually told me the whole story but he still preferred me to watch it. Today, I decided to watch it... watch it using the big screen that we have at home. Since my father has just brought a projector. I made use of it. It wa slike I was watching in a movie house.

It was a japanese movie entitled, "Sky of Love". Jeez! The movie made me cry like a river. It's the love story of Hiro and Mika on their highschool days. There were lots of twists and turns. Apparently, I already know what had happened, but it still moved me. Readers, I suggest you see for yourself and be touched and moved with Hiro and Mika's love as I was.

The day became a movie marathon day, after watching the "Sky of Love", I followed the "Monster's Inc.", then, "Shrek 3", "Beauty and the Beast". Then, Myke arrived and I just prepared some food for him then we watched, "Shrek 1".

I love resting with Myke. I miss him, even if I see him everyday. I wanted him to watch the "Sky of love" but he refuses to, perhaps, he didn't want me to see him cry. Yeah... Men...will always be men.

Breaking up the silence

I met Marga today.

I wore a faded jeans and a simple shirt. No make-up. I just brought my simplest self plus my shades.

I was expecting Marga, would also dress down... but when I saw her, she was not in the state as I was expecting her to be.

She wore something black, something formal, also not in jeans. In addition, she placed make-up on her face... which I least expected, as she never liked it when we were in Highschool.

After two years of extreme silence, I broke it. I admit, I missed her so much. We had long conversations. So many undending stories, and I just felt the same. Me with an old friend. It feels like I'm back home.

She told me something that she have long enough have kept for herself. I never expected things will turn out to be like that... but if she'll be happy inspite of the pains that it includes... I'll be happy for her too...

We ate in Terriyaki Boy, watched "Enchanted" and had a snack in Mister Donut. It was a fun day... I hope to see her again soon!

Ouija

Myke and I watched "Ouija" today. Though he's not fond of watching Filipino horror films, I made him agree to watch it.

It was full of suspense and thrill. There were scenes that made me scream and he laughed at me and simply surround me with his broad arms. The story has an open-ended ending. He said he liked it, anyway because the crowd is participative and funny... and as long as I'm with him.
Well of course, he should or else!;)

Quality Time

Arriving home from tedious work, I was surprised by my Dad. He said we'll watch a film tonight with Mom just right after the rice is cooked. The idea of spending time with them is so nice that I can't wait to see what will happen in the next few hours.

Amazed by the book I'm currently reading ("Rich Dad, Poor Dad"), I caught a conversation with my Dad regarding businesses and getting rich, I told him that I feel oneday, I'm going to be rich.;) I was absorbing the book too much, perhaps!

The rice got cooked. We left. I enjoyed the ride and converse with my Dad towards my Mom's school. I know we're spending a quality time together, which seldom happens because we're all busy in our jobs.

After picking up the light of our household, we then went in SM Fairview, bought foods and tickets. They chose to watch the movie "Sinking of Japan".Before we entered the movie house, we have not realized that Japanese don't speak in English until we were inside and heard Niponggo language. Meaning, we'll be reading the subtitle of the whole entire movie. Though, we were just right on time, I felt quite disappointed, thinking that I'll just get bored inside the movie house because I wouldn't be able to understand the movie nor see the subtitle because of the fact that I'm a legally blind person. So I decided, that I'll just enjoy the burger and fries and the popcorn inside even without understanding the film, at least I'm with my most loving parents and we're spending great time together.

Few scenes after we arrived, the movie finally got my attention. I then, forced my eyes to be able to see and read the subtitle flashed. It was a story about the country Japan that will sink in less than a year. It showed many lives that died in quakes from different areas in Japan. The government did all their best to at least save many lives that they can by sending the Japanese people in other countries such as France, US and China and they were about to do something else to save the remaining parts of the country by means of using an atomic bomb or something. I then realized that we have not chosen a wrong film. As the story unfolds, I enjoyed every single emotion that I was able to feel. I was able to relate in the story that God uses the things we least like to serve our purpose in living. This was shed to me by one of the characters who planned other things for himself and can start anew life in other country but ended sacrifing his life for the sake of the people dear to him and of the remaining lives. -The film taught me that "Some things mean more than life." Family is one. Purpose is another.

It just feel so great to learn something new again. Wonderful Day. Great movie. Perfect Time.

7.7.7.

A once in a lifetime date that coincides with the number of God.

I was with Myke today and we watched "Transformers". I liked the film, it caught my attention.
After watching the film, I thought the cars that I saw on our way home will also transform. I was stucked in the film's magnificent presentation that cars can really transform.;-)

Oh, I find Bumble Bee cute;p
