Angel | Forward this Picture
Before taking my last ride home, I decided to buy something in the supermarket. While choosing and picking something infront of a guy, another guy appeared from one section and said, "Bro, totoo pa lang may anghel." I didn't looked at him but I knew he was looking at me. The other guy answered, "Oo, totoong may anghel!".

Paranoia or Reality?
I've been so careful nowadays because a virus is continually spreading. Like I would wash my hands with soap longer and more often, use alcohol or alcogel after I touch on things, and drink more amount of vitamins. I have never been so OC like this because I really don't want to acquire flu or fever when almost all people are. Inside me, I wanted to be strong even though I know that my blood pressure drops from 100/70 or sometimes 90/60.
However, no matter how I take care of myself, I can still acquire sickness. Right now, I thought, I was just being paranoid that I feel so cold and that I have fever. Several times today, I asked some people if I'm hot. Yer, they just said that I'm just being paranoid. I took a half-day vacation leave today and Michael fetch me in the office. I asked him if I was hot, he said the same thing, I was just being paranoid.
When he dropped me home, he held me and said, "Sweet, mainit ka nga ah." So there, it wasn't paranoia at all, now it's a real thing happening. I'm sick. I self-quarantine myself in the other room and here, I'm helping myself out. Of course, this is not A (H1N1), just a mere fever that attacks everyone in the office.
Goodthing, it's my off and I'm on VL again on Sunday. I hope I could get better soon.

Wants in Reality
Lately, I've been daydreaming of things I want to have in reality. Please note of the word "want" and "reality".

I want the latest Ipod Shuffle-4GB. So small so cute!

I want this extra-thin fabulous Apple laptop. Perfect for my upcoming thesis!

I want a PSP. I could have gotten one if I have just told my dad or mom. But I don't want them to spend money for my luxury. I want to buy this out of my own pocket. Alright, I know I could have already bought one for myself... but... I'm a self-confessed "kuripot" for myself. I'm still in agony thinking if I should buy one.

I need to buy one because my cam is not working.

I want to buy stocks in the market.

I want to buy the lot of my Elementary School.

I want to go to Baguio with my Hone... soon!

I want to go to Palawan with my Mom and Dad... and take lovely pictures with them.

I want to go to HongKong. I know it's coming by September, but I just can't wait. I want the Comprehensive Exam to be over so I can rest, relax and shop.

I also want to explore Singapore. It's a perfect gift for myself on my next birthday which happens next year. Lastly,

I want my Hone to start his training, so we could start out our plans for the family that we will build.
I have never been so materialistic all my life 'coz my parents have taught me to be thankful for whatever I have. But now, I just simply want to have these things, they're all attainable anyway! I don't know if it'll all make me happy, maybe somehow, partly or maybe yes.
Am I asking too much?

How much have you changed in 10 years?
I took the "How much have you changed in 10 years?" test in Facebook and here's the result:

It says, I've changed 45% in 10 years.
I know I shouldn't give much thought about this test, I know well the tests accuracy (hahaha!) Though I wonder inside if I've really changed that much or that little.
Travelling back in time, 10 years ago, I was just, okay... 15 years old (that confirms my age now, huh?!).
I was a 15 year-old highschool girl- Physicaly thin but fit, emotionally unstable, intellectually hungry, socially balanced, economically dependent to my parents, and spiritually active and fulfilled.
Let me differentiate how I was before and how I am today.
10 years ago, I woke up every 5:00 o'clock in the morning, diligently prepare and go to school everyday, asked my daily allowance from my dad or mom, listened and actively participated in school activities, struggled in Calculus and Chemistry, mingled with classmates and friends inside and outside class, bullied at times and cried a lot, wrote poems, compiled songs and diary in a notebook, wished to be truly liked and loved by my crush, allowed time to pass before going straight home after school, watched television or listened to 96.3 WRock, played volleyball, talked to a particular circle of friends in my life, chatted on phone every night, studied and made assignments, sometimes argued with dad and especially with my mom, wrote and collected love and friendship letters, sneaked to go to the mall or to my friends houses, ate in fastfoods, asks my parents to bring me to the mall to shop, had little cracks on relationship with few persons, went to church every Sunday & served God by dancing, and I dreamed one day at a time.
10 years after, I wake up at 4:00 in the afternoon to start my day, diligently prepares for work, take seriously but lightly and easily the master's school, mingles with officemates only inside the office, rarely mingles with classmates in the MA, sometimes bullied but gets even and rarely shed tears, I write blogs, posts songs and diary on www.blogger.com, celebrates life and love with the person whom I love and love me in return, goes home at exact time like a ninja, rarely talk to any friends when I get home, texts those people whom I needed to say something or send quoted messages to those who've sent me some, checks email and multiple social networking accounts, play computer games, appreciates every time I spend with my dad and loves chatting with my mom before she leaves home and before I go to sleep, gives house allowance to my mom and dad, can tell my parents to go to any place I want to but rather I usually choose to stay home, eats in expensive restaurants, invites my parents to go to the mall and shop or sometimes I just shop for them, have several broken and totally damaged relationships, sleeps every Sunday morning, and often dream big things for the future.
Now, I'm already 25 years old- Physically voluptuous but weak, Emotionally semi-stable, intellectually hungry at times, socially unbalanced, economically independent, spiritually starving and dehydrated.
They say that, "Nobody gets everything in life." It's a cliche. But yes, thinking it over, you get some, you lose some... you really can't have everything!!! (take note of the 3 exclamation points!)
With all the changes and turnovers that happened in my life... I believe that I'm still the same person. Though I lost and gained some things... I'm still the sweet, bubbly, who fights for what I know is right, the moody one at times, the most appreciative, the dependable, the crybaby, the dreamer, the achiever, the good daughter, the good friend, the loyal lover and the one who still highly believes and adores God in spite all the trials.
Time hasn't totally changed me, I'm still me... the me that I love.

Nature
I arrived at the terminal of jeepney in Guadalupe at around 5:40. I immediately saw a waiting jeepney. Seats infront were still not occupied, so I hurried up to get there to refrain myself from being bumped by other people inside the jeepney and to avoid passing others fare.
When I got in and seated infront, I noticed that the jeepney driver was somehow decent looking. "Oh well, at least", I silently thought. Few minutes later, when everyone's in action, it made me realized that "No matter how you dressed up a jeepney driver, the fact remains that they're still jeepney drivers."
Rough. Rude. Reckless.
Swear to God! I really have nothing against them. It's not my nature to discriminate 'coz I know that all people differ inside. Though, I certainly believed that the "nature" or the "environment greatly affects and creates the personality of people.

Forgiveness
Forgiveness.
Why is it so hard to give,
To those who have hurt you much,
To those who have hurt the ones who are dear to you.
Forgiveness.
It's a resentment, an indignation, an anger,
That resulted from a perceived offense.
Forgiveness. T
hey say that it's given by strong people
And so what if I'm weak?
Forgiveness.
They say that there is no love without forgiveness.
I don't have any intentions of loving them anyway.
Forgiveness... when will I give you?
I don't know when, maybe when all the wounds have completely healed.
For now, let me just medicate myself.
I know God, you can wait for me, ayt?!
Why is it so hard to give,
To those who have hurt you much,

Fun Photos
When I was a kid, I remember wanting to be a star someday. I wanted to see myself on ads and commercials on TV and magazines. Though, when I grew up, the things I wanted changed. Instead, I wanted to live a simple life. I remember T. Marlo, my teacher in Values during my Junior years in Highschool said, "Living a simple life is living a happy life". Indeed, it was so true.:p Even if I am not the star I wished to be before, I am happy.... and in my own world, I can be a star, a supermodel on my own.
So to somehow catch one of my wildest dreams, here are the fun photos I made through a certain website.:p

H1N1 Virus at De La Salle University
I was onmy way to MRT inside the FX when I heard the news on the radio that there was a positive case of H1N1 virus in our school, De La Salle University. I reacted immediately saying, "Shocks!", the moment I heard it. My reaction pave way for a wonderful conversation with the driver who happened to be the Chief Fire Engineering Officer of the Caloocan District. There happened a brain activity during my conversation with him as we talked about the spreading virus, the DLSU and the Master's in Sped. He said that his wife is also a teacher and he is planning to let her take the same course I was taking. It was a short ride but I had a great conversation with the stranger. He even advised something about personal matters, saying, "that if you feel, you've already found the person you want to spend the rest of your life with, never let it go because if you lose him, you might not be able to see the spark again you've once experienced." Indeed, I somehow agree on that matter. Though, I'm not letting Michael go anyway. I know in my heart, he is my end.
It's been time since I had a sensible conversation with someone and having such brain activity makes me real good inside as it brings out the real persona in me.

DATE : 03 June 2009 TO : The Academic CommunityFROM : Br. Armin A. Luistro FSC, President and ChancellorRE : Confirmed case of Influenza A and campus closure___________________________________________________________
De La Salle University announces the closure of the campus from June 4 to 14, 2009 in view of its first confirmed case of the Influenza A N1H1 virus. Based on existing Department of Health Guideline on A (H1N1) in schools, DLSU will reopen on June 15.
The case is a female foreign student who arrived in the country on May 12. DOH confirmed today, June 3, that the student contracted the virus.
The student has been admitted in a healthcare facility and is being closely monitored by medical practitioners.
DLSU officials have met with DOH Secretary Dr. Francisco T. Duque III and are closely coordinating with other Department of Health key personnel regarding the case.
Prior to the incident, the University has instituted campus-wide precautionary measures such as information dissemination regarding the Influenza A H1N1 virus.
During the closure period, the Academic Community is advised to monitor flu-like symptoms, to stay away from crowds, and to practice good hygiene. If symptoms appear, the person should immediately seek medical attention. They should also inform the University Clinic of their condition by sending their full name and ID number through email at clinic@dlsu.edu.ph.
The community is also advised to regularly check the DLSU website at www.dlsu.edu.ph/Influenza_bulletin for updates and developments on the issue, and announcements on the rescheduling of University events and activities, etc. For inquiries, the Marketing Communication Office may be reached at 526-5913 during office hours.
Reminders:
Cover your nose and mouth with a tissue when you cough or sneeze. Throw the tissue in the trash after you use it.
Wash your hands often with soap and water, especially after you cough or sneeze. Alcohol-based hand cleaners are also effective.
Avoid touching your eyes, nose or mouth. Germs spread this way.
Try to avoid close contact with sick people.
Stay home if you are sick for 7 days after your symptoms begin or until you have been symptom-free for 24 hours, whichever is longer. This is to keep from infecting others and spreading the virus further.
What is the best technique for washing my hands to avoid getting the flu?
Washing your hands often will help protect you from germs. Wash with soap and water or clean with alcohol-based hand cleaner.
What should I do if I get sick?
If you become ill with influenza-like symptoms, including fever, body aches, runny or stuffy nose, sore throat, nausea, or vomiting or diarrhea, you should stay home and avoid contact with other people, except to seek medical care.
If you have severe illness or you are at high risk for flu complications, contact your health care provider or seek medical care. Your health care provider will determine whether flu testing or treatment is needed.

Postpaid Plan
Globe was one the Suth vendors last week. I grabbed one of their offers thinking that I can manage paying monthly bills anyway. I immediately sold the free fone which was Nokia 2630 because I'm planning to buy a different phone. Besides, my phone right now (Nokia 6020) is still perfectly working as it had served me for three years now.
Well, the wait was a week long. I even needed to follow-up the application with my bestfriend Jason who works with Globe. I picked the last 4 digits of my cell number and he chose the rest for me.
Today, my new and hottest number is fully activated! I just need to control myself from calling and texting so I won't throw money more than my chosen plan.:)

Savings Account
I went with my mom to open a new savings account. I was wearing a white shirt, a checkered shorts and a pair of slippers while she was wearing a faded slacks and a loose blouse.
When we arrived inside the bank, we both sat on the available chairs in front of the man who's in his 40's, I guess.
Bank Employee: Ano po yon? (nagtanong habang nakatingin sa iba)
Mommy ko: Mag-oopen ng account.
Bank Employee: May 2 valid IDs po ba kayo? (may iba pa ring ginagawa)
Mommy ko: Nak, ids mo? Dala mo ba?
yUmi: (took my La Salle ID and PRC ID from my bag) Here.
Bank Employee: Enrolled ka pa rin ba dito? (looking at my La Salle ID)
yUmi: Yes.
Bank Employee: Dala mo ba yung proof of payment?
yUmi: No.
Bank Employee: Dala mo ba yung recent PRC ID mo? (looking at my PRC ID)
yUmi: Why? Is it expired?
Bank Employee: Yes, hanggang Jan 2007 lang ito, eh.
Mommy Ko: Hala, anak, di mo pala nadala yung PRC mo?
yUmi: Yung expired pala yung nakuha ko kanina. Anyway, here's my company ID.
Mommy Ko: Nak, dala ko din yung Voter's ID mo.
Bank Employee: Eto po, paki fill-up-an. Pwede ko tanggalin to? I-pho-photo-copy kasi.
yUmi: Okay.
(After ma-fill up ang sheet, sinoli ng Bank Employee ang Company ID kay yUmi na already removed from it's ring. So yUmi tried to put it back into its proper place. Yet, it was so hard so yUmi asked the Bank Employee to do it for her.)
yUmi: Pwede, paki-balik?
(She knows na mahihirapan siya ibalik yon, kasi nga 2 yung holes na dapat pagkalagyan nung ring.)
Bank Employee: ummmmmm...
(trying to sort it out, pero halatang nahihirapan, naibalik naman sa hole, kaso nasira yung ring. Sabay balik kay yUmi ng ID).
yUmi: Thanks! (ngingiti-ngiti habang naka-crossed legs.)
Bank Employee: Gusto mo mag-apply?
yUmi: Ok.
Bank Employee: Please fill this up.
yUmi: Alright. (nagsusulat)
Bank Employee: Ah, Ma'am dito rin po ba ang bank ninyo.
Mommy Ko: Oo, dito din ang bank ko. Oo nga pala, pano ba 'tong rewards, blah, blah.
(Mega-active sumagot ng Bank Employee, biglang nagka-energy. Nang matapos ang finifill up ni yUmi.)
Bank Employee: Here's my call card, paki-fax na lang yung ITR and 1-month payslip, paki-attention sa 'kin.
yUmi: Okay.
Bank Employee: (gulat na gulat pa rin sa pangyayari) talagang magssave ng pera ang anak nyo no?
Mommy Ko: Oo, pera nya lang yon.:p
yUmi: Aryt, we have to go.
Bank Employee: Thank you Ma'am. (sobrang polite and warm this time)
MORAL OF THE STORY: Don't ever judge the way people dress, you'll never know how much money they're putting in the bank!
hahaha!:p
*************
Well, seriously speaking, I feel satisfied with what I had achieved. I was able to save that big amount when others have saved nothing at all. I'm glad that my parents thought me well to manage money. Thanks to this industry I am in. And most of all, I thank God for giving me all these blessings and good health and prosperity that continues to overflow.
When we arrived inside the bank, we both sat on the available chairs in front of the man who's in his 40's, I guess.

Bank Employee: Ok. Mag-sa-save ka talaga ng pera ah. Magkano po ba ang ipapasok ninyong amount?
Mommy Ko: _________ thousand.
Bank Employee: Ano po?
yUmi: _________ thousand.

Fixing a broken relationship with a Pastor
I do not blog a lot of things about it but since Augustlast year I had a gap with our church pastor because he believed those who were not credible enough. He chose them over me. He chose quantity over quality.
As my mom informed me yesternight when we arrived home that his eyes were now opened to the reality, my heart was tapped trying to give me in with my mom's request to go back in the church... now, I gave her the freedom to back in the very same local church we used to worship.
Today, in the afternoon, the said pastor and an elder in church went to our home to borrow our van. They caught us during our bonding time together singing along. When I saw him, all the hurtful feelings I had was instantly removed, all I can render was smile. I'm freed. It's as if nothing happened.
We haven't talked yet but I guess it's God fixing and mending my broken relationship, why should i resist?
It's just timely that it's Easter as well!:)

What's wrong with me?
I feel that I'm losing my mind. I just can't think right at the moment and I feel that everything I do seems not right. I hate feeling this way. I abhor it. I have already shared my pent-up feelings with a friend of mine in the office yet I'm still not okay. I have not yet overcome the feeling. I feel that I need to find where my keys are. I feel that I need to put this into writing-- maybe, I pray that it would help.
Yesterday, right after taking a bath at around 4:30 pm, I received a phone call from Ms. Cherry (Hone's boss) and she interrogated me, "What's your message for Myke?" I had nowhere to find answers to her question. I might have freeze to death without answering her query. I was speechless. I knew that it wasn't only her listening to my voice, I knew that something's up... it's a phone patch. I was stuttering beyond words. That moment--- words run out of my lips and out of the parts of my brain. I didn't know what I was saying. I remember, I just said, "He already has everything and I just love him." When I hung up. I knew that I messed up. I kept thinking what went wrong with the words that I uttered. Then, two rides after, I realized that I wasn't able to say the two most simple words that I shouldv'e said which are: Happy and Birthday. Shoot.
Realizing my stupidity. Where did my head's neurons went? Okay, let me rationalize. First reason, Honestly, I felt like I was greeting Michael for almost 3 days. Considering that I work on a night shift, I have waited for his day to strike at 12am- that was the 1st, he even fetch me at around 5am. When I was about to go to work in the evening, we were about meet (which did not materialize) so I kept greeting him through text- that's the 2nd. When he picked me up the following morning on the 21st, that was the third day... and I felt like he was so devastated with the number of times I've greeted him before he left to work. You know, it just felt like I've said it a million times and to greet him over and over again, it's really too much. Second reason, everybody in that room who have heard my voice surely knew that it was his birthday, so it's granted- what I've said was for his birthday anyway. Third reason, I wasn't really prepared. I just came from the bathroom when I've answered the phone and I'm all wet with my towel on, dripping drops of water on floor and on the ear piece of the phone. They didn't know what I was up that time. So it sucks! Okay, enough with rationalizing... as Raph said, "it still boils down you missing two significant words--- Happy and Birthday." Alrightie then, enough! I'm only human. And I... have already felt bad. So is Destiny already happy with my situation?
I was out of bounce. I noticed that it has been for 3 consecutive days. Maybe it's because of the bad interview that I had with the Director of the school which I'll have my practicum soon. Followed by me texting my previous Grad School professor, addressing her the wrong name. But hey, I should get over those things. It's over. I won't cry over spilled milk. What I need to do is to keep the ball rolling. I should be back on the game.
Okay, once I've published this entry, I'm really over with my frustration in the interview, which was core of all these mishaps and out of bounces. Anyway, our professor would be formally endorsing us tomorrow. That would be the closure. That would be the end. And I will have a whole month vacation from work, away from computers and members and stuff in the office.
Oh God, help me!

My Great Day for 2009
It's my birthday today. I saw how the digital clock changed from 11:59 to 12:00 midnight!
With Lhen, Carla, Raph, Tin and Jinky- we ate my cake in the 11th floor at around 12:15 am.
I received birthday messages from friends and I'm thankful that they've remembered.
At night, I celebrated my birthday with Tier 1 and Tier 4- INV5, ATO, Suspension Appeals and Defamation Team together with our TL and Supe. Credits for Raph 'coz he's the one who arranged the food orders. Thanks, dude!

In the afternoon, Hone and I met. We just ate our favorite burger and sundae in Burger King. The pictures will soon be uploaded. Yet, it's perfect for me. A simple celebration with my one and only soon-to-be life-partner.

Raph gave this flowers and Carla gave me chocolates. I took a lot of pictures of the bouquet. It's beautiful and it somehow reflects my life... colorful as it is!

I was also able to watch the "Twilight" movie--- after finally reading the book. Of course the book is incomparable!

This is me at 25. Well, I don't feel 25 at all.

An after celebration with my family at Sbarro, SM North Edsa. With my parents, lola and hone-- my birthday's complete!

My mom have ordered many foods for my Lola but she barely ate the delicious foods infront of her. Then, I suddenly realized that, "Children should treat their parents in fancy restaurants and make them eat the most delicious foods while they're still healthy and young--- for when, they're already old, they wouldn't appreciate eating the foods no matter how expensive they are."
