Jeff & Maja's Wedding Day

Myke was invited by his friend, Jeff to his wedding. I went with my Hone together with his cousin Atchie Jennet, which also happens to be Jeff's close friend on the 27th of May, I was actualy on a leave from work on this day. The location of the church was in The Basilica of San Sebastian. Below is the picture of the newly wed:

The reception followed at seven o'clock in the evening at Century Park Hotel. Here are some shots taken in the hotel.

It was a grand wedding, there were around 350 guests. I wonder how much that wedding costs. It may have cost the couple a million or more. Nevertheless, it was a great affair and a well night for them to be cherished for the rest of their lives.

As for me and Michael, I don't know yet, maybe in time...

BB Semi-Reunion

This was imperfectly planned but it turned so well. Evic simply texted us to meet her by weekends because she's here in Manila. Aimee, as usual, organized where and what time to meet in Makati. It was a fun, fun, fun Sunday evening.

I feel human today, having a time to get out with friends. All the while I thought and feel like a robot because of my work.

Chilling out with the BB gang. I'm glad Badette still remembers me, even if she has become so forgetful after getting married.

Kuya Gel- pa cute. Badette- getting sexier. Anj- seems brusko in this shot. Aims- of courz, ever camera wit, her back should have been taken a shot. Est- she's sleepy then but manages to smile in cam. Rax- what can I say, she occupies only a small portion of the pic, but woh, she owns this cam-fone, and I relaly like it... I plan to buy one, after I'm done with all my bills. And I... of course, my ever-lovely hair make people stun.

Just the girls... geez, why did I close my eyes? Perhaps I'm sleepy or I was wishing something or I was thinking of someone while smiling in the cam?

The night ended but I hope the friendship never ends.

Indifferent

Movement. People around me move. They move due to things, events, personal choice, problems, desire. I mean, my officemates are trying to advance themselves in work. Two of them have just gotten the position for Q.A and R.A. Others went on interviews and exams... while I... I'm left alone, just here in my nook... without making any move. One of them asked, "Why don't you apply for this position or this... or that?". Then, my initial answer would be, "I'm not interested, why don't you go on and apply for that position, who knows, you might be the one they're looking for."

Playing those words again on my mind, I stopped and questioned the same thing that was asked to me. "yUmi, why don't you apply and try your chance?". Then, I will answer to myself... As of now, I am contented to whatever work I have, I can pay my bills, I can share something at home, I can buy what I want... for the meantime, everything is enough. Plus the fact that I am not pressured and have a lot of time to browse the net and create my website. Yeah, create this website. And in the inner core of my heart, something shouts and cry, "yUmi, you could not tell them your very reason why you refrain from moving because you're aiming something, far better from the promotion that shall come along with bigger paycheck and dreadful tasks."
I feel different to them, they're minds are set on one goal and only on one track, but I'm not focusing on the visible track that my eyes see. I'm looking beyond all these things that I have right now... and this makes me feel indifferent. If and only if I could start what I intend to do, perhaps, I'll be better, and I wouldn't mind these people buggling me.

I have almost three months to prepare cognitively and five months to brace myself financially. That's way too far. I wonder if I could ever jump off this race and just win from this long suffer. But, I should take time to wait and make the use of my remaining time.

yUmi, take a deep breath. Look into where you're really going. Everything's gonna be fine for the Lord hear you silently shout your prayers from your heart, enough for Him to hear your desires and fears.

Sa isa kong boto

Eleksiyon nanaman. Ito ang ikalawang beses kong pagboto. Ang una ay noong 2004 Presidential Election, ang eleksiyon na punong puno ng pandaraya and pangugulang ng administrasyon. Ngayon, heto parin ako at bumoto.

Ewan ko ba, alam ko namang madumi ang pulitika, pero bakit nga ba ako nagtyatyagang bumoto, e wala namang mababago. masakit ang katotohanan na ito, ngunit tanggap ko na din. Tanggap na rin yata ng mga pinoy na wala ng pag-asa ang bayan.

Ngunit, Datapwat, Subalit, gaya nga ng aking nasabi, bumoto pa rin ako gamit ang natitirang kakarampot na pag-asang "baka may mabago pa", kapag binoto ko ang iilang bagong politiko.
Apat lamang ang inilagay kong pangalan sa aking balota sa posisyon ng Senador- ito ay sina Cayetano, Escudero, Bautista at Trillanes. Apat lang? Happy Mother's Day

She's my Mama. From her I get my strength. She raised me so well together with my Papa. I think that God should have created more mothers like her loving, caring, firm, disciplinary, and who just directs the life of children properly. I'm not against other mothers who had their child pregnant or whose children became delinquent, it's just that I feel so blessed being reared by a wonderful person.

Genie in a Bottle

What will you do if you ever find a bottle with a genie inside? What if the genie gives you three wishes. What will you wish for? Will you also wish for wealth, power and freedom of the genie like Aladin did wish? Or you would simply wish all for your own? Before the the genie utter the words "Your wish is my command." Will you really not regret?

Given a chance to meet a genie, First, I will wish for wealth and material possessions so I may be able to share it to the poor and needy which will eventually make me happy. Second, I will wish that all people in world would know Christ and accept Him as a personal Lord and savior. In that case, all people will be good. Lastly, I will wish that I'd become a part of the ocean when I die so people will often remember me not just on summers but in all seasons of the world.

The Root of All Evil

Money.Money.Money. The root of all evil. Because of money people become greedy, grabby, desirous, ravenous, covetous. People tend to forget how to treat others right, to the extent that they even lose themselves. They become monsters of their own soul.

Money was created so people will find responsibility among themselves and learn the the importance of diligence, hardwork, discipline and practicality. Money was created so that people can improve their lives but not to put other people down. If and only if people shall learn how to handle wealth wisely by using it in doing good like sharing it to the less fortunate. They will be blessed not just in hundred folds instead of thousand ones.

Footprints in the Sand

One night a man had a dream.

He dreamedhe was walking along the beach with the LORD.

Across the sky flashed scenes from his life.

For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand:

one belonging to him, and the other to the LORD.

When the last scene of his life flashed before him,he looked back at the footprints in the sand.
He noticed that many times along the path ofhis life there was only one set of footprints.

He also noticed that it happened at the verylowest and saddest times in his life.
This really bothered him and he questioned the LORD about it:

"LORD, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way.

But I have noticed that during the most troublesome times in my life,there is only one set of footprints. I don't understand why when I needed you most you would leave me."

The LORD replied:
"My son, my precious child,I love you and I would never leave you.

During your times of trial and suffering,when you see only one set of footprints, it was then that I carried you."
